I was at the premier of Chak De India. It was a fantastic movie. Before the movie Shahrukh Khan talks a bit about his movie. He says that " this is a movie about 16 girls who are from diffrent states of India and are playing for the Indian National Hockey Team. This is not one of them Indian movies where you have a villian, or a heroine (booooooooooooooooo), no songs or anything that you would see in a normal Indian Movie". The crowd at the Somerset House went absolutley wild and Shahrukh done a line from the movie DON. He said " DON ka intezaar to gaara molko ki police karra hi hai, Sonia. Lekin ek baat somej li jein. DON ko pakar na mushkil nahin.............(the Crowd) Naa mumkin hain ("DON is wanted by the police of eleven countries,Sonia. But understand this. To catch DON is not difficult...............(the Crowd) it is impossible"). Shahrukh who was wearing a black stripped suit with a black shirt had a new small pony tail look, which I think looks SLICK. A few hours before the Movie he was taking interveiws and I was one of the lucky persons who actually got to give him a box of choclates. After which Shahrukh recieved said "Thank You " to me. He gave me an autograph and I got to shake his hands. I pray to Allah that I meet him again and again. And that he continues to make good movies. My best part of Chak De India was the part when the coach Kabir Khan takes all the girls (who have no team spirit then) to Mcdonalds. Some boys start to tease the girls and that when the team spirit builds up (when the girls beat up the boys). Anyway, I just can't wait for the next Shahrukh Khan movie, Om Shanti Om. Please, please, please have the Premier of Om Shanti Om in London.

Chak De India was an awesome movie experience!  Watch it on the big screen if at all possible.  Shah Rukh Khan proves yet again what a talented and versatile actor he truly is. The 16 girls who act and star in their first movie were raw and wonderful actresses.  The story is very original for a Hindi film and was long overdue.  Chak De will fill your heart with pride for India as a country and will get you cheering probably for the very first time for India's national sport of hockey.  Men and women, children and elders can enjoy something in Chak De.  Whether you are a huge SRK fan like me or not, this is a must-see!  I believe SRK deserves many awards for his performance in a role we have never seen him in.  It was a wonderful experience watching Chak De on opening night where I was told all the shows were selling out! The audience laughed cheered and cried!  The women characters although new to us will get close to you because their characters are very strong yet endearing.  Women will definately cheer for them and feel proud of being a woman.  I hope and pray that this movie gets the critical acclaim it deserves.  Watch it and enjoy the ride!!!

SHAHRUKH ROCKS!!! SHAHRUKH ROCKS!! and I will say that again from the top of the roof. I guess, this, one single line is enough to give you an idea about the movie. So let me not waste your time much and quickly move on to the stuff…

The story is pretty much straight forward, an Indian ex hockey player (Kabir Khan played by Shahrukh Khan) who decides to coach Indian women’s hockey team for the world cup. But the task is not easy, the 16 girls are from different states and they do not have skills to play on International level. The movie shows, how Kabir Khan, tackles every situation with a different approach and succeeds every time.

Okay, let’s talk about the actors. Well, apart from Shahrukh Khan and few side kick actors, most of the actors were acting for the first time. I would not say those were actors, it was all like as if they are getting trained in real life and people are cheering for them. The introduction scenes were just hilarious. Even the goals in every match made people clap and cheer. After a long time I was getting the feel of Lagaan. But the only difference here was, people were cheering for our national sport, Hockey not Cricket. And that too for the women’s team. It reminded me of my college days.

This movie has got the power to change the outlook of people towards Hockey. Apart from the promotions on the TV and everywhere, I think the most beneficial promotion for the movie will be word of mouth publicity.

I went for the movie with a negative mind set and I was just telling everyone that, the movie is

all gonna be same stupid story of Shahrukh making a bad team won the world cup but I had a smile on my face through out the movie. Thanks to my fiancee who is a great Shahrukh Fan and he forced me to watch the movie. Okay, I won’t let this review become story about my personal experience.. haha

So, to sum it up… on the acting front, Shahrukh Khan deserves all the clapping, perfectionist, a real coach…amazing actor… then comes, all the 16 girls, with the special mention for characters, Preeti (Segarika Ghatge), Komal (sorry, no idea about the actor’s name) and Bindia Naik (Shilpa Shukla).

Apart from acting, direction by Shimit Amin was superb, he placed everything at the correct place, leaving no room for the mistakes. I don’t remember any scene in the movie which was unnecessarily added. Cinematography was impressive too. (Specially in Australia). So in short, I really enjoyed the movie and I rate it 7*******

The movie might not become a blockbuster but this is surely going to create some ripples in the Indian Hockey scene.

A DEFINITE MUST WATCH.

I watched this movie First day First show. Chak de is the best movie i have ever seen of Shahrukh Seven stars******* excellently crafted with Sharukh the soul n all the young chicks make u feel positive not a single loopolls...

Good effort by Shimit Amin. I liked the movie, it is sincere effort of making something different then the regular melodrama and larger then life...

Yes...I saw the movie!! it was auesome...absolute girl power.I think all girls should go watch this movie.For the first time girls were whistling or at least tried 2....& golly did we scream our heads off!There r certain scenes were u get really uplifted.

True that SRK was screaming throughout the film like most coaches do,but it takes a powerful man to make it look beliveable.I would not have gone & seen the movie if it were'nt for SRK..but when u see the film u discover a lot of talent in the girls as well!....the small girl...the Punjabi girl...Preeti Sabarwal...The captain...the girls from Jharkhand..& seniormost girl fitted splendidly into the skin of the character...after u leave the theatre u really feel that somebody would help hockey out in someway,it shows the thin line between failure & victory.U end up feelin a lot more patriotic & u get to know how its like 2 play 4 ur country!Director Shimit Amin !!!!Three cheers 2 u...splendid job!.......

Yash Raj at last got something right this year....i will kill every one if they don't give this film National Award 4 Best Sports Film...or Patriotic Film or something....CHAK DE!INDIA..

All I need to say about Chak De India is that while I was watching the movie in STADIUM, yes you have read it right STADIUM because the atmosphere in the theatre was as electrifying as watching a hockey match or Hockey training in the Stadium itself. Crowd was shouting hip hurray, the cheetis and talis all cheers for the punjabi, the haryanwi chori n all of them. The hall came to a silence during the final penalty shoot outs as it was in the movie itself even the crying kid shut his mouth in the last few minutes.

Nothing more to say for a movie which made people believe that the matches were as real as being played in the movie itself the tension, the emotion n the action was just mind boggling.

This was not Shahrukh's best performance rather it was the ULTIMATE performance he has given which I bet no other actor can even try to come close to it. His passion for the country and game. His pain to prove he is not a traitor just because he is a muslim rather he loves his more than anything else in the world.

Last but not the least,anyone who watches Chak de India will not like nor love rather the viewer will LIVE, trust me.
